The Jerome Eagle
Published in Print and Audio by the Library of Congress-USA
copyrighted Rahman,brigitte arlette
Like in the picutre I drew
he left his seventy-one endless trails
he left the salty tears
and the bleeding roses
to fly proud.
A cherokee eagle
to the true land of the soul
By my window, he stopped
in the tear of all tears
he wrapped me
in the softness of the blue sky
to keep me safe and warm
until the dove in me dies
its painful deathand sets me free
to walk in the dreamy mountains
and find us again.
